Green Moon Designs was set up in 2016 and is based in Nottingham, England. We lovingly make and supply organic, fairtrade, handmade & eco-friendly items. All of our limited-quantity products are created and packaged using sustainable methods and materials.


Operating on a multiple season style and not short-lived trends, our new items are only released when old ones have been sold. The aim of Green Moon Designs is to inspire and uphold pure, positive practices whilst being committed to having a zero waste output.




We have marked all our products with the relevant eco-badges on our Etsy shop. Here are the symbol explanations which are clearly stated under each product respectively:

The official EU label for Greener Products. Eco-labelled products have comparatively modest impact on air, water, soil, quality, natural resource consumption, global warming and biodiversity.

Products must pass rigorous environmental fitness tests, with result verified by an Independent body. The label adorns top-performing product only.



Wind power is the main power source at the facilities providing four times as much energy as actually used. The surplus is sent to the network for the benefit of local communities and reduces CO2.




SA8000 is based on the principles of international human rights norms. It measures the performance of companies in eight key areas: child labour, forced labour, health and safety, free association and collective bargaining, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours and compensation.



Oeko-Tex 100 Standard comprehensively addresses the Human Ecology component of textile products. It evaluates and screens for any harmful substances present within processed textiles, which are intended to come into contact with consumers.



100% organic cotton by GOTS Sustainable Textile methods certified and inspected by Control Union.

The aim of the standard is to ensure the textiles are made using organic raw materials and environmentally and socially responsible methods.



The Fairtrade Certification Mark is your independent guarantee that the cotton in this product has been certified in accordance with international Fairtrade Standards.



This standard defines requirements to ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.



There has been a decline in global deforestation, thanks partly to the increased use of recycled paper and the purchasing of paper products that are certified as coming from responsibly managed forests.

Recycling one tonne of paper can save 3000 - 4000 KWh electricity, enough to power a home for nine months. Save 30,000 litres of water and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by one metric tonne of carbon equivalent (CO2e).



OCS blended is used for products that contain 5% minimum of organic material blended with conventional or synthetic raw materials.



As a result of using renewable energy and low impact farming techniques we have reduced the

carbon footprint while producing the apparel in an ethical and sustainable manner.

Proof that it is possible to produce cotton clothing without any detrimental effects to the Earth's soil, water or inhabitants, whether they be animals, plants or people, or to its climate.



Fair Wear Foundation works with brands, factories, trade unions, NGOs and sometimes governments to verify and improve workplace conditions where our clothing is made.



Clear packaging is made of Bio-degradable Corn Starch, meaning capable of being decomposed by bacteria or other living organisms and thereby avoiding pollution.
